Since 2008, he has worked as a member of the Pro Shop department at The Club at North Halton. He started as a Back Shop Supervisor and this year was promoted to Candidate Professional/Pro Shop Clerk. In August, he successfully achieved his CPGA Professional designation. Shaun is currently enrolled in the Business Administration/Professional Golf Management program at Georgian College. He has an impressive history of winning awards over the past five years, and has been the recipient of the 2009 Georgian College Residence Student Council Member of the Year, 2008 Georgian College Professional Golf Management Scholarship Award, 2007 Lester B. Pearson Merit Award, 2007 Lieutenant Governors Volunteer award, 2007 Blast Productions Award, 2007 Student of Excellence, 2007 Kitch MacPherson Scholarship Award, and the Greatest Contribution to Lester B. Pearson Athletics in 2005, 2006, and 2007. His career goal is to become a General Manager for a high end golf club in Canada. He also has plans to be an active member with The Canadian Society of Club Managers by serving on committees to assist with the development and improvement to programs for the club industry.
We would like to thank all student applicants and Club Managers who have encouraged their student employees to apply for the 2009 scholarship awards. The success of this program could not have been achieved without the leadership and support by you, the Club Manager.
Yours truly,
